I got up close and personal with that grinder at the blade show.it's a really nice unit, and the young man who produces it put a lot of thought into it. The price is $3400 i think. It is solid, quiet, vibration free, has very precise tracking, and can be used in the vertical mode and the horizontal mode.

Considering all that it does, i doubt it is. If so, please give me your opinion of the tw90 versus the kmg grinder. Comes standard (only) with 2 horsepower variable speed (via variable frequency drive).

It's made my travis wuertz in casa grande arizona and, at the time i bought it, it was one of the most expensive tools i'd ever purchased.
The grinder tracks laser straight for perfect plunge cuts every time. I haven't actually done the math, but is it really pricier than other grinders? Jon, the tw90 is a very nice grinder, it has some accessories that u can't find on any other grinders ( like the magnetic surface plate ) it runs very smooth and is a work of art, but its $$$ the kmg is a nice grinder, not as refined as the tw90 and not as many bells and whistles as the tw90 either, but its less $$$, the bader is like the kmg. As for precision, i would think that you can get pretty close, probably about as close as you can get to almost any surface grinder that has been converted to use belts.
Every attachment was carefully wrapped tightly in foam, then stretch wrap. Looks like a well made grinder with lots of options. The tw90 is hands down the best grinder i’ve ever used. (i've never seen heavier) the grinder was bolted with lock nuts and bolts, washers on both sides, to a 3/4 piece of plywood that was cut to fit the bottom of the box.

Does anyone here have any experiece and or advice on this grinder? It's a vertical grinder with a contact wheel, platen, small wheel and slack belt setup. I like the versatility of also working horizontal as well as vertical. Anybody have any hands on experience with the tw90 vertical/horizontal grinder.
That plywood was lag bolted to the skids that went under. The tw90 comes with a 2 hp and vfd drive, an 8 contact wheel, a platen and a rotating small wheel attachment (but no small wheels). Vertical/horizontal grinder chasis, ratcheting belt tension (love this), adjustable spark guard, small wheel (bader style) with tooling arm, large wheel with tooling arm, platen with rubber contact wheels with tooling arm. I' think thinking getting the wuertz tw90 grinder and surface grinder attachment. If you haven't seen it. In watching a series of videos of various grinding techniques, i came across a few interesting techniques in positioning a tool rest or using a 16 or 20 contact wheel. I need to replace my old grizzly grinder and have been looking at a kmg when i came across the tw90 grinder.

The biggest complaint i've heard about this grinder is the price ($3200 if i remember correctly ), but you get everything: The main unit came in a triple wall corrugated heavy cardboard box.

Especially since i'll be moving into a much smaller space within the year and need to consolidate my tooling.
All the attachments make for a repeatable process that streamlined my ability to grind a lot of blades quickly and uniformly. I have a kmg right now, but the tw90 will likely be the next grinder i buy. But on paper i see better tracking and versatility (it flips 90 degrees and has a surface grinder att.) as the main advantages and don't see how this makes it the that much better than a kmg. If it can serve as a workable surface grinder in addition to a vertical and horizontal grinder, i may just change my mind.

The tilt feature is just an added bonus. This particular photo shows the belt grinder, in the vertical position, or it's only position, with the platen at an angle. The tw90 is awesome, i’ve never used the moag, so i can’t compare. Also the belt drive allows a place for the power of the motor to be used up in slippage and friction.
